British want’s William as a king, not Charles

The close marriage of Prince William with girlfriend Kate Middleton made the British to see with new eyes the succession to the throne. According to a survey published by the Daily Mail, 55 percent of Brits want William to become king and not Charles.

56 percent of Britons believe that William would be a better sovereign than Charles, according to a survey published on the website of the News of the World. British press reports that Charles, aged 62 years, should give serious thought to abdicate and to leave his son for 28 years on the throne.

Daily Mail, however, notes that such an event might be enough time to remove the conditions in which Queen Elizabeth II, now 82 years old, could live as much as his mother, who died at 101 years.

Affair with Camilla, Diana divorce and then marriage to Camilla seem to have damaged the image of Prince, writes the London press. Journalists say that another issue that has damaged was that Charles never spoke clearly about what status he will then Camilla will become sovereign.

Meanwhile, Prince William and Kate Middleton have announced they will marry in late April. It seems that the two now talk with other members of the royal family to ensure that the day chosen for the wedding is convenient for everyone. If time proves too short for training, the young couple thought of the book once – next summer.
