Arrest warrant on behalf of Wikileaks founder, Julian Assange

Swedish prosecutors has issued a warrant to arrest Julian Assange, founder of Wikileaks. 39 year old Australian is accused of rape and sexual assault, and if  he refuse to surrender, the Swedish authorities could require an international arrest warrant. Assange says that everything is a setup and an attempt to destroy Wikileaks.

Wikileaks founder Julian Assange Swedish is accused of rape and two sexual assaults. Assange was not arrested yet because he is not Sweden.

Founder Wikileaks has denied the allegations and said the relationship they had with the two women were consensual.

“Of course it is bad for my client that the arrest warrant was issued. It will be bad for his business and for Wikileaks if he will be arrested. I think that the evidences are too low. ” said Assange’s attorney.

Julian Assange became known in 2006 as founder of the site Wikileaks. This year 600,000 secret documents made public about the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. According to documents, the peacekeeping troops would be guilty of war crimes.
